C. A. ’Greck’ Dahlstrom

Greck Dahlstrom passed away at JoAnn's Hospice and Hope Center in Bonita Springs, Florida, on Thursday, April 16, 2009, after a long, brave struggle with cancer.C.A. "Greck" Grekoff was born on August 14, 1944 to Fred and Lydia Grekoff. She graduated from Steele High School in 1962. After graduation she attended Interstate Business College and graduated with a two year business degree. She also attended Don Lu Modeling School and N.D.S.U. She modeled for Florentine's and the Classic. She worked for 23 years at Fredrickson's Orthopedic's in Fargo. She was a Certified Surgical Orthopedic Technician. On February 23, 1979 she married Larry "Louper" Dahlstrom of Moorhead, MN. They resided on the Dahlstrom farm. Greck enjoyed life on the farm, and hauling grain for Louper. She enjoyed their home on Pelican Lake and especially their condo in Bonita Springs, FL, and walking on the beach or any place in the sun. She and her husband did extensive traveling. She loved entertaining people, and she was known for her kind deeds and the ability to make people happy. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Larry; her mother Lydia Grekoff and sister Sandee Schmidt of Steele, ND; mother-in-law Verna Dahlstrom; sister-in-law Emmy Amble; and nephew and niece Chad and Tanya Tonsfeldt. She was preceded in death by her father Fred Grekoff; two brothers LeRoy and Richard. Her motto was: Don't resent growing old because a great many of us are denied the privilege. Never let yesterday use up today.
