Caitlin Jean (Lamb) Posch, 30, of Moorhead, MN, made the journey to her eternal home, Wednesday April 17, 2019, after her courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer.
Caitlin Jean Lamb was born August 29, 1988, in Fargo, ND, to Dean and Jeannie (Schmitt) Lamb. She grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 2007. Caitlin graduated from Minnesota State Community and Technical College – Moorhead with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She was most recently employed as a Dental Hygienist at Friendly Smiles in Fargo. While in high school, Caitlin met, began dating and fell in love with Ryan Posch. They married October 15, 2011 in Moorhead.
On January 31, 2017 Caitlin endured a surgery to remove a tumor from within her spinal cord. From the moment of a horrendous diagnosis, Caitlin accepted that cancer may ultimately take her life, but she was determined to coexist with the disease and that it would not take her happiness. Caitlin used her God given infectious laugh and unforgettable smile as her weapons of choice to fight her disease and to protect the happiness of those around her.
Her happy place was at the lake with her family, friends and her dog Sota whom she loved so much. Caitlin enjoyed everything about the lake, especially fishing. She also loved to go hunting with her family. Catlin wrote the best cards, always bought gifts for everyone, especially all of the new babies of family and friends. Caitlin enjoyed food and was an amazing cook, a skill she inherited from her family. She was passionate about family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. Caitlin loved music in all forms. Caitlin was a dancer; she loved to sing and attend concerts. She was recently gifted an upright bass that brought her so much joy and allowed her to reconnect with music in a way she hadn’t experienced since high school.
Caitlin is survived by her husband and hero, Ryan; her parents, Dean and Jeannie Lamb, of Moorhead, MN; sister, Grace (Paul) Chapman, of Virginia Beach, VA; nephews Theodore and Otto Chapman; Godchildren Neesen Nammour and Charlotte Oberg; father-in-law and mother-in-law James (Chip) and Brenda Posch of Moorhead, MN; brother-in-law Christopher (Courtney) Posch of Fargo, ND; nieces Lana and Capri; brother-in-law Michael (Kayla) Posch of Moorhead, MN; nephews William (Godchild) and Ashton; sister-in-law Jenna (Brenton Knutzen) Posch of Moorhead, MN; along with many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Phyllis Lamb and Theresa and William Schmitt; her uncle Tom, uncle Jeff, Aunt Debbie and her cousin Angie.
