Carol Ann Pettengill

Carol Ann (Neuman) Pettengill, 73, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Sanford Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Carol was born on December 12, 1948, to Walter and Donna (Baych) Neuman. She graduated from High School in La Porte City, IA. After graduation, she met Randall Pettengill and they were united in marriage on July 29, 1967. They moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1976 where they raised their two children. Randy worked for Simplex Time Recorder until 1980 when Carol and Randy started their own business, Special Systems. Carol was proud to be the owner and president of the business.

Carol was a member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead. She loved hockey and was proud to house junior hockey players from the Bears, Jets, and the Ice Sharks. She also enjoyed horse races, NASCAR, casino trips, watching cooking shows, and gathering recipes for her cookbooks. Carol had a big heart and was devoted to her family and friends.

Carol was survived by her children, Becky (Matt) Davis, John (Erika) Pettengill; grandchildren, Victoria, Elizabeth, Grace, and Alexander Davis; siblings, Nancy (Cliff) McFarland, Patty (Monty) Martin, and John (Susie) Neuman; her beloved cat, Max; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Randy; parents, Walter and Donna; and siblings, Jerry, Butch, Gloria, Tommy, and infant brother, Michael.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 A.M., on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Final resting place will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
