Carol J. Hass

Carol Jean (Rudolph) Hass, age 79, of Lake Park, MN, formerly of Fargo and Barney, ND, passed away February 22, 2025, at her home.

Carol (Rudolph) Hass was born August 13, 1945, at Breckenridge, MN, to Walter and Darlene (Fahsholz) Rudolph. She grew up on a farm north of Barney and attended Barney, Antelope Consolidated and graduated from Wyndmere High School in 1963. She graduated from North Dakota State University in 1967 with a degree in Mathematics Education. Carol was baptized and confirmed at Peace Lutheran Church, Barney, ND. 

On June 29, 1968, she married Evan Hass at Peace Lutheran Church in Barney. They were blessed with the gift of two sons, Brian and Jonathan. The family resided in Wahpeton and later in Fargo. Carol was a mathematics teacher at Wahpeton High School, Kindred High School and Dilworth, Glyndon-Felton, MN, retiring in 2000. In 2012, Carol and Evan built and moved into their lake home on Big Cormorant Lake, Lake Park, MN, where they enjoyed the peace and quiet of the country. 

Carol was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since attending college. She loved attending bible classes and services there. 

Survivors are her husband, Evan, of Lake Park; her 2 sons, Dr. Brian D. (Holly) Hass; their children, Justice, Kianna, Ryker and Jagger; Jonathan P. (Angela) Hass; their children, Isaac, Clara, Asher, Eliza and Abram; sister, Judy (Doug) Peterson of Wahpeton, ND; aunt, Vanada Fahsholz and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other close friends and relatives. 

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Walter Guido Rudolph and her mother, Darlene Ella Rudolph.

Carol is now safely at home with the Savior she followed her entire life to her last breath.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with visitation for one hour before the service, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1258 North Broadway, Fargo, ND. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes, MN.
