Carol M. Kuehl

Carol M. Kuehl, 76, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Carol Marie Kuehl was born February 26, 1946 to William and Mabel Holtz in New Rockford, ND.  Carol resided in New Rockford before attending North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND.

Carol married Gerald Kuehl on December, 28^th, 1968 in Sabin, MN.  They were blessed with two children, Bradley and Rhawnie, and made their home in Moorhead, MN.  Carol worked for many years at Sorenson Construction before transitioning to her career at Coldwell Banker in Fargo, ND where she ultimately retired. Carol also served on the board of the Oakport Township for many years and was active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Moorhead.

Carol was defined by her immense passion for three things: family, travel, and experiencing life’s adventures with her many friends.  She loved spending her summers at Lake Ida with her family and friends who all meant the world to her.  And she never missed her weekly card games and lunches with the ladies, where she shared many laughs and created tons of beautiful memories.

Carol was truly an amazing mother and grandmother who reveled in her time spent vacationing with her daughter Rhawnie, and who always looked forward to preparing hearty meals for her son Bradley to take on his numerous hunting excursions.

One of the major highlights of Carol’s life was the day her Grandson, Owen, was born. She cherished the time they spent together, and she especially relished in any opportunity to brag about his many accomplishments!

Carol is survived by a son, Bradley (Amy) Kuehl, Blaine, MN; a daughter, Rhawnie Kuehl (Ralph Tedesco), Austin, TX; her grandson, Owen Kuehl; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Kuehl; her parents, William and Mabel Holtz; and her siblings, Willard, Donna, and Shirley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be Monday, April 11, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Sabin, MN.
