Chad Richard Hamann, 27, of Fargo, ND, died at home on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Chad was born in Fargo on September 9, 1989. At an early age, he discovered a passion for running, excelling as a member of the track and cross-country teams. Chad graduated from Fargo North High School in 2008. Chad’s adventurous personality led him to Bismarck where he climbed communication towers for Great Plains Towers. Most recently he worked at American Crystal Sugar in Moorhead. Chad’s greatest passion was being a dad. His world revolved around Elisha and Jonah. Chad enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His nephews and nieces cherished their uncle. Chad had a great love for the outdoors and could often be found by the river, fishing or canoeing. There were countless camping and hunting trips shared with his dad and brother. His childhood was filled with family road trips across the country. This past summer, Chad and his brother bought motorcycles which they enjoyed riding together. Losing Chad is devastating, but the memories we have will be treasured forever.
Chad is survived by his sons, Elisha and Jonah; parents, Sandi and Charlie Renville; siblings, Kayla Thomas Gonser, Rachelle Bill Fortier, and Josh Renville; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Andrew, Daniel and Grace Gonser, and Penelope Fortier; grandparents, Arleen Stein, Harriet and Brian Turner, and Carole Hamann; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Chad is also survived by David Richard Hamann; aunt, Diane (Steve) Fradet and their sons, Mark and Brian Fradet; uncle, Jay (Anita) Hamann and their children, Cyle and Alicia Hamann; aunt, Paula (Mike) Hanlon and their children, Michael, Eric and Anna Hanlon; aunt, Kim (Scott) Seamands and their sons, Adam and Noah Seamands; aunt, Linda (Ed) Raedel Erickson and uncle Keith Raedel their children, Garrett, Meghan and Logan Raedel.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Stein and Paul Hamann.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral at 10:00 a.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Moorhead, MN at 4pm.
