Charles Chuck A. Schneider

Charles A. Chuck Schneider, 71, rural Hawley, MN, died on September 20, 2013, in Avon, Colorado.
Chuck was born on March 24, 1942, in Breckenridge, MN, to Edwin and Dorothy Fletcher Schneider. He grew up and attended school there, graduating from Breckenridge High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force, stationed in Goldsboro, NC. Chuck married Diane Leinen on June 26, 1965, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wahpeton, ND. They made their home in Wahpeton and he attended the North Dakota State College of Science.
They moved to Fargo and Chuck worked for Robert Gibb and Sons and also Peterson Mechanical. Upon retirement he built his dream home south of Hawley, MN, where he embraced his passion for woodworking, gardening and nature. Chuck’s needs were simple and he felt so blessed for everything and everyone in his life. He was especially grateful for the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Diane, Hawley, MN; daughters Londa Allen Hager, Fargo, ND, and Sue Jim Moffet, rural Barney, ND; son Brad Janelle Schneider, Fargo, ND; ten grandchildren, Taylor, Cameron, Conrad, and Jack Hager, Paul, Charlie, and Claire Moffet, Meghan, Kaia, and Elise Schneider; brothers, Donald Corine Schneider, Red Wing, MN, Richard Patsy Schneider, Fargo, ND, Nicholas Shirley Schneider, New Hope, MN, Paul Mary Schneider, Sheridan, WY, and Kevin Jackie Schneider, Ft. Collins, CO; sisters Patty Koppelman, Moorhead, MN, Carol Osmundson, Wahpeton, ND, LaVonne Larry Johnson, North Attleboro, MA, Jean Barry Olson, Pequot Lakes, MN, Margaret John Weber, Plymouth, MN, Wanda Jerry Hasbargen, Breckenridge, MN, Terry Tim Hasbargen, Breckenridge, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Thomas, sister Mary “Tootie” Evanson, sister-in-law Judy Schneider, brothers-in-law Paul Koppelman and Lyle Osmundson.
Visitation: Friday, September 27, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., in St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Hawley, MN.
