Charles E. "Chuck" Johnson, 61, Fargo, ND, died on Monday, June 21, 2010, in Omaha, Nebraska.Charles Earl Johnson was born on September 30, 1948, in Fargo, ND, to Earl and Lillian Krabbenhoft Johnson. He grew up and attended school in Hickson and Kindred, ND, graduating from Kindred High School in 1966. He served in the U.S. Navy, working in secure communications on board ships in the South Pacific during the Vietnam era. He returned to Fargo and went to work for Berg Fargo Motor Supply. Charles married Beverly Boss on September 27, 1975. He spent forty years of his career in trucking, the last ten as an owner-operator driving for National Carriers the "Elite Fleet". During his career he also worked for Midwest Motor Express and E. W. Wylie Trucking. Chuck had driven millions of accident-free miles and also won several trucking awards.He was a member of the Walcott American Legion, and loved hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers.Chuck is survived by his daughters, Kimberley Jason Carlton, St. Paul, MN, and Kristin Marie Johnson, St. Paul, MN; his mother, Lillian Johnson, Hickson, ND; brothers, Bruce Johnson, Star Valley, AZ, and Kevin Cyndi Johnson, Chandler, AZ; sister, Deborah Richard Fowler, Walcott, ND, nine nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife, Beverly Boss, Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Johnson, in 1999.
