Charles (Chuck) Holiday Salvi, 72, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in Essentia Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Chuck was born on December 27, 1948, to John and Jennie (Praznik) Salvi in Chisholm, MN. He grew up in Chisholm, but moved to Valley City, ND in 1962, where he attended and graduated from St. Catherine High School (1967). He earned his BS in Education from Valley City State College in Nov. 1971. He began working at his father’s bar and liquor store, Spikes Place, and took over in 1976. He was proud to play in, run, and sponsor various pool, dart, and softball teams. He later moved to Fargo, ND in 2002 where he worked for Integrity Windows.
Chuck was an avid sports fan, namely of the Steelers, Yankees, NDSU Football, and golf. One of his greatest passions in life was cooking, which was always the highlight of parties and family gatherings. He was a beloved father, warm and generous man, an amazing cook, and everyone’s friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Gina (Brad Nedrow) Salvi; siblings, Jack Salvi, Richard (Sally Arnold) Salvi, and Carol (Rod) Kummer; nieces and a nephew, and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Jennie.
