Charles O. Follett, 85, Bad Medicine Lake, Ponsford, MN died Monday, November 20th in Moorhead, MN.Charles, son of Walter and Agatha Follett was born January 23, 1921 in Devils Lake, ND. He graduated from NDAC, currently NDSU. Chuck served in the US Army as a First Lieutenant during WWII. He was wounded July of 1944, receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Following a long recovery he returned to Fargo, ND where he was employed by Smith, Follett, and Crowl. He married Arline Adcock in September 1947 in Valley City ND. In 1961 he was employed by Silverline Boats as credit manager until 1970. At that time Chuck and Arline moved to Thief River Falls where he was employed by Arctic Enterprises for the next twelve years, retiring in 1982.Chuck and Arline spent their winters in Mesa, AZ, hiking and playing golf. Summers were spent at Bad Medicine Lake. Chuck especially loved time spent there with family.Chuck is survived by his wife, Arline of 59 years; two sons, Gary of St. Louis Park, MN and Glen Mary of Thief River Falls, MN;, a sister Margaret Hosking, Chicago, IL; two grandchildren, Charley Angela Follett Minneapolis, MN, and Laura Follett, Glendale AZ; one step-grandson, Travis Erin Follett; and great-granddaughter, Audrey Follett, Minneapolis, MN.Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Agatha Follett.
