Charlotte Darling Anderson, age 76, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, at Sanford Medical Center. She was a 14 year breast cancer survivor but succumbed to a courageous battle with lung cancer.Charlotte Darling Willits was born on June 18, 1934, in Elmwood, Wisconsin, to Joe and Mabel Delong Willits. She grew up and attended schools in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Charlotte and Adolph Jr Anderson were united in marriage on October 12, 1962. They made their home in Felton, MN and were proud parents of five children. Charlotte worked in various jobs through the years, and became a beloved daycare provider for many children. She was passionate about music and played many different instruments. She influenced many area musicians while playing in numerous bands for over 25 years. Charlotte was active in Cub Scouts, the Felton Community Club and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She was an avid Twins fan, music mentor, and adoring mother and grandmother. She loved dogs, gardening, canning, making lefse, and bird watching. Charlotte was a pillar in her community and will be missed dearly. She is survived by her husband, Adolph "Jr." Anderson, Felton, MN; her children, Keith Jeri Pischke, Burnsville, MN, Wendy Tim Jeral, Hawley, MN, Mike Lindsey Anderson, Pelican Rapids, MN, Dave Tammy Anderson, West Fargo, ND, and Scott Julie Anderson, Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Nate Pischke, Ben Lisa Pischke, Charlynn Anderson, Taylor Anderson, Brad Anderson, Lindsey Anderson, and Raelynn Anderson; her great-grandchild, Sophia Pischke; and her brothers, Bob Willits, Dilworth, MN , Dennis Willits, Felton, MN, Roger Willits, Moorhead, MN, Chuck Willits, Fargo, ND, Jerry Willits, Rapid City, SD, and Loren Willits, Christine, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bill Willits.Charlotte graciously donated her body to the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
