Chuck Swiggum

Chuck Swiggum, 82, Moorhead, MN, died on Saturday, March 30, 2013, in the Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN.
Charles E. Swiggum was born on August 26, 1930, in Leonard, ND, to Karl and Emma Jacobson Swiggum. He grew up and attended school in Leonard before serving in the U.S. Army, serving in Europe. Upon his discharge he returned to Fargo, ND. Chuck married Marijean Stricker on January 24, 1956, at Sisseton, SD. They made their home in Moorhead.
Chuck worked for Pierce Printing and The Fargo Forum but his true love was his band, The Country Demons. He also enjoyed spending time at the lake.
Marijean died on January 25, 1998, at the age of 61.
Chuck is survived by his sons Chuck Swiggum, Jr., Fargo, ND, and Rick Swiggum, Moorhead, MN; daughter Denise Williams, West Fargo, ND; brother James Swiggum, Mission, TX; sister Patty Dennis Wateland, Moorhead, MN; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; special friend Lois Olson, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 2, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Interment: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
