Cindy Steen, 58, Moorhead, MN, died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, in her home in Moorhead surrounded by her loving family.
Cynthia Lynn Benshoof was born on January 9, 1956, in Moorhead, MN, to Merle and Bette Mae Boyington Benshoof. She grew up and attended school in Glyndon, MN, graduating from Glyndon High School in 1974. She married Wesley Sorenson and they had three children, Seth, Nicole and Megan. Cindy worked in banking in the Fargo-Moorhead area throughout her career and was currently employed at Bell State Bank and Trust in south Fargo.
Cindy married Jim Steen on September 2, 2005 in the Stavkirke at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead and they made their home in Moorhead.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Jim, Moorhead, MN; son Seth Sara Marie Sorenson, Duluth, MN; daughters Nicole John Miller Sorenson, Enderlin, ND, and Megan Markus Krueger, Moorhead, MN; brother Michael Benshoof, Moorhead, MN; five grandchildren, Stella, Sawyer, Madison, Kaytlynn and Colton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathleen.
Memorial Gathering: Friday, August 22, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Memorial Service: Saturday, August 23, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
