With heavy hearts and grateful souls the family of Clarence C. Bitker announces the completion of his journey here on earth. Clarence was born September 16, 1918 to August and Eva Bitker in Clear Lake, Iowa. After graduating from high school Clarence moved to Ada, Minnesota where he met and married Blanche Olson Bitker. Clarence and Blanche raised their three children on their farm north of Ada, MN until his retirement at the age of 42. After that Clarence lived in Moorhead, MN for the summers and the Rio Grande Valley of Texas during the winter until he and Blanche moved permanently to San Juan, Texas in the 1980’s.

Clarence was a devoted Christian who always gave God the credit for all of his successes. From his volunteer work at the McAllen Heart Hospital, to his devotion as a church member, Clarence’s walk through life was one that set the example for others to follow.

He is survived by his sister: Eleanor McCoid of Mason City, Iowa.

His legacy consists of children: Eve Vanna David Hedrich of San Juan, TX, Clifton Sylvia Bitker, of Bemidji, MN, and Bonnie Swanson of McAllen, TX, seven grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren , 3 great-great grandchildren .

A memorial service will be held at the San Juan Baptist Church at 2:00pm Saturday the 2nd of Nov. Funeral services will be held at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN., on the 8th of Nov at 1:00pm.

Interment will be held at Riverside Cememtery, Moohread, MN.
