She attended the Beaton School after which she attended Karlstad High School. She took a cosmetology course at the New York Hair Dressing Academy in Fargo, ND. Following that, she was married to Donald “Vernie” Nordin in Karlstad. Their children were Douglas, Cheryl and Jan. Clarice worked for several years at Anderson Clothing Dept., and Winjum’s Clothing. There, she worked at Conway Fire and Extinguishers for a short time before her marriage to Oscar Yngve. Together they continued to live in Minneapolis and enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Horseshoe Lake in Merrifield, MN. Later, they moved to Karlstad where they bought a home and lived until Oscar passed away in September of 1989. Clarice was a busy person in the community. She loved to play the piano at church and numerous community events. She thoroughly enjoyed her Bridge group and Birthday Club.
