Cleo M. Enderle

Cleo Maria Enderle, 79, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, at Manor Care in Fargo.

Cleo Maria Meyer was born July 17, 1938, to Alvis and Elsie (Vanderwerff) Meyer, in Fairmount, ND, where she grew up and attended school. On September 26, 1956, she married Matthias Joseph Enderle and together they farmed near Nashua, MN from 1956 to 1964. They later moved to Campbell, MN and Cleo worked as a Recreation Assistant at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge, MN.  In 1971, they moved to Pelican Rapids, MN where she worked at the West Central Turkey Plant for some time and then began a 21- year career as a Dietary Aid at Pelican Valley Health Center, retiring in April 1999. Cleo and Matt were also managers of the Pelican Mobile Home Park for 27 years.   After retirement, they moved to Fergus Falls, MN.  In 2008, they moved to Moorhead, MN.  Matt passed away on October 24, 2008. Cleo moved to Serenity Assisted Living in Dilworth, MN in 2013. Due to health issues, Cleo moved to Manor Care in Fargo in January 2018.

Cleo loved socializing with her friends and family, and she enjoyed shopping, gardening, and crafting.  She enjoyed the many close relationships of her friends at Serenity in Dilworth, especially her friends in “The Grub Club” and “Card Making Club”, with whom she shared time cooking, making crafts and gardening.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Joan) Enderle, Jamestown, ND, Kevin (Jo) Enderle, Savage, MN and Matthew (Khristy) Enderle, Pelican Rapids, MN; son-in-law, Rick Fjestad, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Rochelle (Jon) Fjestad Byklum, Nathan (Carlie) Enderle, Nicholas Enderle and Evie Enderle; great-grandchildren, Matia, Aubree and Ledger Fjestad Byklum and Madilynn, Peyton and Reagan Enderle; brother, Richard Meyer, Breckenridge, MN; sister, Kay Horman, Wheaton, MN; nieces, nephews and aunts.

Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Rebecca (Enderle) Fjestad, and sister, Arlys Meyer.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 207 Main St. N., Dilworth, MN.  Friends and family may gather together from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Burial will take place at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
