Cleo Miller

Cleo Rosemary Miller, 78, a long-time resident of the Fargo-Moorhead area, died on October 5th at her home at The Waters Senior Living in Minneapolis, MN surrounded by family and friends.
Born October 17, 1938 in Page, ND, Cleo moved to Moorhead after graduating high school and started her career in the administration department at Moorhead Senior High School. Cleo spent much of her career as a travel agent at Four Seasons Travel and then at AAA Travel. She enjoyed working with people and also taking ocean cruises with her husband Richard “Dick” Miller. Cleo married Dick on September 13, 1958 and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage. Cleo and Dick raised two boys, Martin and Christopher, and enjoyed supporting their passions in music and hockey.
Cleo had a special bond with her sisters and brothers. Many fun nights were spent with her brothers, Bill, Kenny, and Randy on the lanai at her home in Moorhead. Cleo enjoyed the spontaneity of never knowing when they would arrive or when they would leave! Her time with her sister Beatha “Bea” was always cherished. Her special love with Bea was shown through trips to Duluth to see family, fishing, playing cards or just being together and laughing for hours.

Cleo was an award winning doll maker and always enjoyed a good game of cards or playing bingo with friends. Cleo also enjoyed a house full of family and friends, she and Dick were always ready to feed the consistent flow of neighbors and their sons’ friends. Later in life, Cleo’s passion was spending time with her grandchildren.
Cleo is survived by her two sons Marty Tammy of Edina, MN and Chris Katie of Chicago, IL and four grandchildren, Alison 22, Caroline 19, Jack 17, Joe 15, her brother Randy Jess Pillsbury, ND, and step-brother Don Korsgarden Coon Rapids, MN. She is preceded in death by her husband Dick; parents, Rudolph “Buster” Burros and Doris Burros; siblings, Bill Burros, Beatha Bieber, Kenny Burros, and Betty Jean Burros; step-siblings, Kevin Korsgaden and Johnny Korsgaden.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at Wright Funeral Home, 605 2nd Street South in Moorhead, MN. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead.
