Clifford Bosak’s big heart stopped Saturday, April 25, 2020. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was 91 years old and has lived in Moorhead his entire adult life.
Clifford Mark Bosak was born April 7, 1929 in Barnesville, MN to John and Agnes (Dudek) Bosak. He grew up in Barnesville and graduated from Barnesville High School in 1949. After graduation he attended technical school for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration but later went back to school at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis for an electrical degree. Clifford went to work for Horvick Electric in Moorhead where he met the love of his life, Betty Swanholm. Clifford and Betty were united in marriage in 1956 in Barnesville and they made their home in Moorhead where they raised their 5 children. Clifford continued to work in the electrical field until 1969 when he started CB Electric in Moorhead which he operated with three of his sons until his retirement in 1987.
Clifford built everything: his house, his cabin, his squirrel catcher, and the gate to protect people from tumbling down the steps. At 90, he built two outhouses for King Deer. He could fix anything and enjoyed tinkering around in his garage and yard. He loved to whistle and it was a sure sign to his family that he was feeling well. He loved spending time at the lake, fishing, and hunting deer at King Deer. Clifford was devoted to his church, and his strong Catholic faith was an essential part of him. Above all else, Clifford enjoyed spending time with his family. The greatest legacy of his life will be that he was so beloved by his family, extended family and so many friends. We feel so fortunate to have had him in our life.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Betty, Moorhead; daughter, Sherie (John Mischke) Bosak, St. Paul, MN; sons, Steven (Kim), Jeffrey (Cindy) and Doug (Michelle), all of Moorhead; daughter-in-law, Angie Bosak, Anchorage, AK; brother, Edward Bosak, Omaha, NE; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 11 siblings, and his son, Gregory.
A private family visitation and prayer service will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 30, 2020 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Moorhead. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
