Clifford “Chip” Mortenson

Clifford “Chip” Mortenson, 75, Hawley, MN, died on Saturday, December 20, 2014, in his home.
Clifford was born on November 5, 1939, near Ogema, MN, to Fred and Gladys Larson Mortenson. He grew up and attended school in Ogema and then Glyndon, MN. Clifford went to work as a carpenter, working for Ed Welle, Lowell Regstad, and Bob Gullard, retiring from Gullards.
He married Judy Bensen on September 26, 1964 and they were married for thirty four years.
Chip was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his sons, Jeff Connie Mortenson, Hawley, MN, and Dave Mortenson, Moorhead, MN; daughter Julie Mortenson, Detroit Lakes, MN; brothers Harland, Glyndon, MN, Merlin, Glyndon, MN, Doug, Lake Park, MN, and Wayne, Lake Park, MN; sisters Ida Andersen, Glyndon, MN, Linda Ruziska, Lake Park, MN, Ramona Hegland, Dilworth, MN, Mavis Chester Beaudine, Lake Park, MN, and Pat Bensen, Dilworth, MN; six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Warren and Luella.
Visitation: Friday, December 26, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
