Colleen P. Welle, Moorhead, MN, passed into the arms of the God she loved and believed in on Thursday, July 7, 2016 in her home.
Colleen Patricia Marcotte Welle was born January 8, 1936, in Lidgerwood, ND to Merle and Ethel Sullivan Marcotte. She grew up and attended school in New Rockford, ND where she met the love of her life and future husband, Norbert Welle. They got married on December, 30, 1954 at St. John’s Catholic Church in New Rockford.
Colleen and Norbert eventually settled in Moorhead and raised a family of five. After a career in the food service industry, Colleen and Norb retired to the lake at Park Rapids, MN, where many memories were made with their kids, grandkids and the Marcotte kids.
Norbert passed away in 2007 and soon after Colleen moved back to Moorhead to be closer to family. Her faith was extremely important to her and if she couldn’t make it to mass she would make sure to watch it on TV.
