Connie K. Raasch, 63, of Fargo, died Thursday, November 25, 2004 in MeritCare's Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.Connie was born to Deloss Dutch and Muriel Hexum Mortenson on August 4, 1941 in Madison, MN. She grew up and attended school in Madison, MN until the 7th grade. After that Connie and her family moved multiple times throughout the upper Midwest due to her father's grain bin business. She graduated from Castlewood, South Dakota High School in 1959. After graduation she attended cosmetology school in Sioux Falls and worked there until moving to California in 1963. She moved to Moorhead in 1967 and worked for Silverline Boats, then on to her current career in Healthcare, beginning at St. Johns Hospital in 1969. She was currently director of Heartland Independent Provider Network. In August of 1988 she married the love of her life and she and Rich built a most special relationship. One of mutual respect, unconditional love, independence and understanding. She especially took pride and "bragging rights" in her grandchildren. They ranked right up there with the "lake" as her favorite topics of conversations. She and Rich were currently in the process of a permanent move to the lake, and her dream home. Connie was a lady of many talents, had many cherished friends, and always looked for the positive side of everything. She had a vast love for the outdoors, the lake, and her grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and many cherished friends.She is survived by her husband Richard; one son, Brett Lori Raasch, Ankeny, IA; one dauther, Kayla Jim Denk, Lakeville, MN; and four grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents.
