Connie M. Kuehl

Connie Kuehl, age 47, died Thursday, November 1, 2018 surrounded by family in Detroit Lakes under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Connie Marie Kuehl was born on January 9, 1971 to Duane and Carol (Moen) Kuehl in Moorhead, MN. She was united in marriage to Bryan (Kik) Miller on October 3, 1992, and later divorced. She worked as a CNA for nearly 30 years before moving to Flasher, ND where she worked for Fritterer Gas and Oil Co.

Connie was passionate about horses and riding horse, including participating in horse shows. She liked to spend her free time hunting, fishing, camping, and playing volleyball. She loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Detroit Lakes Eagles Auxiliary #2342.

Connie is survived by her parents, Duane (Audrey) Kuehl, of Lake Park, MN and Carol (Thomas) Olson, of Detroit Lakes, MN;  significant other, Shane Stern; daughter, Ashley (Jose) Tellez of South Saint Paul; son, Dalton Miller of Lonsdale, MN; grandchildren, Caleb, Lakota, Alejandra, and Isaiah Tellez; sisters, Cheryl (Kirk) Anderson of Faribault, MN, and Christi Taylor of Honolulu, HI; brother, David (Karan) Kuehl of Sugar Hill, GA; step-siblings, Valerie (Claude) Straley of Clear Lake, WI, Perry (Laurie) Melbo of Park Rapids, MN, Julie (Allen) Moorehead of Erie, ND, Jason (Nicole) Badar of Moorhead, Jean (Mike) Weber of West Fargo, ND, and Jon (Angie) Badar of Moorhead; and several nieces and nephews.

Connie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilbert and Vivian (Sue) Kuehl and Harold and Ada Moen; uncle, Derald Moen; and step-mother, Gloria (Badar) Kuehl.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 6:30 PM at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN with a visitation starting at 4:00 PM.
