Cora Lillevold Fosse was born to Ole and Anna Lillevold on August 28, 1913 near Rothsay, MN. She grew up in the Rothsay area, being baptized and confirmed at Hamar Lutheran Church in Rothsay. She would often help area neighbors in the summer with children on harvest. On March 28, 1937, she was united in marriage to Fred Fosse and they made their home in the Rothsay, Baker and Barnesville areas before moving to Moorhead in later years. She was a staple on the potato planter and harvester in the Baker area for many years, and also did housecleaning in the Fargo-Moorhead area part-time. They joined Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in many church activities including quilting and serving. Fred passed away in the fall of 1980 after a battle with cancer. Cora enjoyed playing cards, sewing, crossword puzzles and spending time with family. She was someone who, "if it needed doing, she'd do it." She was not afraid to try things. After a time, she moved into assisted living and later to the Halstad Living Center because of memory problems, although she stayed relatively healthy otherwise. She was called home on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 while in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Cora is survived by her son, Obert Linda Fosse of West Fargo, ND; daughters, Charlotte Heinz Meyhuber of West Fargo, ND, Avis Lee Lofgren of Fargo, ND, Janis Kevin Jensen of Gary, MN; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Ella Grunevold and Mabel Honrud. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and 2 great-grandchildren.
