Corine Gronbeck, 95, Moorhead, MN, died on Saturday, March 27, 2010, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.Corine E. Oslie was born on September 20, 1914, near Hickson, ND, to Peter and Mabel Jacobson Oslie. She grew up and attended school there. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She attended Minot State College and Valley City State College in North Dakota and then taught school at Fredonia and Leonard, ND. Corine married Frank L. Gronbeck on May 28, 1938, near Leonard, ND, and they made their home in Moorhead, MN. She attended Moorhead State Teacher's College and taught at Kragnes, MN, for one year before going to work for Wells Dray and Parcel for nine years. She and Frank owned and operated Minn-Ota Carbonic until their retirement. Her family was most important to her, and she loved spending time with family and friends. She often expressed how much she appreciated her family. She enjoyed dancing and playing Whist. She will be dearly missed by her family.Corine was a long-time active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead. She was a member of Eastern Star, Soroptomists, volunteered with mended hearts and was a very active, long-time member of Sons of Norway.Her husband, Frank, died on September 16, 2009.Corine is survived by her three daughters, Marlene Keith Canton, Port Orchard, WA, Marlys Dennis Montgomery, Moorhead, MN, and Myrna James Beattie, Moorhead, MN; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents; three sisters, Irene Gram, Frances Anderson, and Orris Anderson; and one great-granddaughter.
