Craig Fenske

Craig Fenske, 46, of Hawley,MN, passed away on January 23, 2018. Craig was born on August 16, 1971 to Orlin and Connie Fenske. He grew up in Ottertail, MN and graduated from Perham High School. He then went on to get his degree in Accounting at Wadena Technical College. Craig worked for several accounting firms before starting his own business.

Craig was united in marriage to Lainie Rud on June 1, 1996 in Deer Creek, MN and they established their home in Hawley, MN.

Craig knew exactly how to cheer others up with his goofy personality. He was the first one out on the dance floor and to sing karaoke. He loved his country music, especially George Strait. Craig loved sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, and NDSU Bison Football. Craig was very proud of his children and loved to share with others their accomplishments. Family was very valued to Craig and he enjoyed entertaining his family and friends in his man cave. He overall enjoyed life by being outdoors, hunting, and helping others.

Craig was actively involved in the Hawley Area Fire Department for 18 years, the Fireman Relief Association, the City of Hawley Planning Committee, and the Hawley Methodist Church.

Craig is survived by his wife, Lainie, sons, Brady and Bryce and daughter, Brylee of Hawley, MN; his parents, Orlin and Connie Fenske of Ottertail, MN; brother, Allan (Chihyon) Fenske of Hawley, MN; sisters, Brenda (Mike) Haspel of Ottertail, MN, and Tammy (Allen) Bahnson of Henning, MN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, one niece and aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., at Hawley United Methodist Church, Hawley, MN. The funeral service will be Monday, January 29, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., at the church. Interment will take place at Hawley Cemetery.
