Curtis A. Winter

Curtis A. Winter, 62, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, May 1, 2022, unexpectedly at his residence. Curtis Adam Winter was born November 3, 1959, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Herman and Lillian (Walz) Winter. He grew up in Waubun, MN. He attended Waubun High School, graduating in 1977. He attended Detroit Lakes Area Vocational-Technical College and received his degree in Professional Sales in 1979. He worked at Plunkett’s Furniture and Reardon’s Office Supply. He Then attended Moorhead Technical College and received his degree in Electronics in 1988. Most recently he had enjoyed working at GPK Products in Fargo.

He loved his family and enjoyed playing cards and visiting. He treated his nieces and nephews like his own. He greatly enjoyed Elvis Presley music! Curt was a sweet soul with a big heart.

Curt is survived by his mother, Lillian Winter of Fargo, ND; brother, Ron (Dee) Winter of Thief River Falls, MN; sister, Bev (Dan) Hunt of Moorhead; 6 nieces and nephews, Troy (Sara) Winter, Trisha (Merrit) Winter, Tony (Becky) Winter, Brent Ambuehl, Kelly (George) Stage; great nieces and nephews, Morgan, Maddie, Elle, Alexis, Gabe, Ian, Dylan, Samantha, Zachary, Ethan and Jayce; and a great-great nephew, Jaalen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Winter; brother, Duane Winter; and a great niece, Abbigail Winter.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead.

Interment will follow services at St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery, Waubun, MN.
