Dagmar C. Kammerer, 89, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, in Lilac Homes, Moorhead, MN.
Dagmar Caroline Johnson was born in Boston, MA, on August 25, 1932, to Albert and Laurianna Johnson. She grew up in Wausau, WI, and graduated from Wausau High School in 1950. She went on to attend the University of Wisconsin – Madison and graduated with a degree in Zoology in 1954.
Dagmar married George E. Kammerer in 1957 and they had three children. She spent her career as a social worker in Manitowoc, WI, and Green Bay, WI, until her retirement.
Dagmar enjoyed living on the lake in Green Bay, walking her dogs, and traveling with her significant other, Bob Kijewski. She moved to Lilac Homes four years ago to be closer to her son, Matthew.
Dagmar is survived by her daughter, Mary Baumgarten, sons, Matthew (Sandra Rather) Kammerer, and Mark Kammerer; grandchildren, Calvin Kammerer, and Hansel Kammerer; and brothers, Carlton (Gail) Johnson, Thomas (Joanne) Johnson, and Phillip (Diane) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Bill Lewis.
