Dale A. Larson

Dale A. Larson, 72, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, July 21, 2014 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Dale Allen Larson was born on October 29, 1941 in Grand Forks, ND, to Everett and LaVanche Nybladh Larson. Dale grew up near the East Grand Forks area, until his family moved to Audubon, MN, where he graduated from Audubon High School in 1959. On October 19, 1963, Dale married Arlene Papenfuss. They first lived in Dilworth, MN, until 1981, when they moved to Moorhead. Together they had five children. Dale made his career of truck driving, starting at 17 years old driving gravel truck. He was an over the road trucker until his retirement in 2012.

Dale is survived by his wife, Arlene; five children, Dwight Laurie Larson, Glyndon, Wanda Donnie Tostenson, Cando, ND, Daniel Larson, Fargo, Sarah Mike O’Rourke, Sauk Rapids, MN and David Larson, Fargo; mother, LaVanche Larson; five brothers, Ronald, Byron, Mark, Kim and Jay Larson; two sisters, Cathy Sunram and Jill Timm; five granddaughters, Jessica, Melissa, Kristen, Megan and Emma; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Everett, brother Lowell Larson and sister Lori Gillespie.

Visitation: Friday, July 25, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
