Dale J. Ludwig

Dale J. Ludwig, age 69, of Pelican Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on November 17, 2016, at Hawley Senior Living.

Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Kay Meyer, brother, Dewayne Ludwig, and parents, George and Mikelene Ludwig.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Scott Alicia Upton, West Fargo, ND, Jamie Ann Upton, West Fargo, Brent Amber Ludwig, Hawley, MN, Darin Jennifer Ludwig, Mapleton, ND, Bryce Alicia Ludwig, Hawley, and Brandon Meyer, Devils Lake, ND; 13 grandchildren; brother Alvin Valetta Ludwig, Ottertail, MN; special niece, Deb Rick Schmidt, Moorhead, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dale was born August 19, 1947, in Harvey, ND. He was active in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968. He was an active member of the American Legion in Harwood, ND. Throughout his career, he worked as a welder and painter. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lake, going to the local VFW for weekly meat raffles and bingo.
