Daniel Albert Scheett

Daniel Albert Scheett, 43, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020, in his home. Dan was born on April 23, 1977, to Anthony and Joan (Schmisek) Scheett, in Grand Forks, ND. He grew up in Grand Forks and graduated Valedictorian of his class from Sacred Heart High School, East Grand Forks, MN. He then attended and graduated with honors from Northwest Technical College, Moorhead, MN, with an Associates Degree in Computer Programming.

Dan began his lifelong career as a computer analyst at American Farm Bureau Insurance shortly after college. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Olich on September 9, 2000, in Ada, MN.

Dan was an active member at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was a 4^th Degree Knight with the Knight’s of Columbus. He was very active in his children’s sporting and music events and loved helping his kids out with their homework, especially math. Dan was quite the handyman and was a perfectionist in all his work inside and outside of the house and never wanted to be late for anything. He was also a tech enthusiast, a die-hard Twins and Vikings fan, and loved Star Wars. He was especially proud of his kids and loved spending his time with them in any way he could whether it be helping them with their math or building Legos.

Dan is survived by his wife, Jennifer; children, Serenity, Alex, and Ariana; parents, Tony and Joan; siblings, Dale (Sarah) Scheett, Angela Scheett, and Gerard (Alethia) Scheett; 4 nephews; 2 nieces; in-laws, Les and Luverne Olich; his beloved furry friend, Max; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
