Daniel Scott Loberg, 56, of Lake Park, died June 26, 2017 in his home, under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Daniel was born August 11, 1960 in Willmar, MN to Peter and Joyce Furgeson Loberg. He graduated from Detroit Lakes High School in 1978 and moved to Billings, MT where he worked for a lumberyard. It was in Billings that he met Theresa Fenstermaker in 1980 and they were married on July 11, 1983. They moved to Idaho in 1984 and he worked for a sugar beet factory for 10 years. In 1994 the family moved back to the Lake Park area and Daniel then worked 12 years for Team Industries in Detroit Lakes as a welder in the die cast shop.
Daniel loved being outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting, including two trips to Alaska for moose hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughter, Amber Michael Remarke; sons, Cory Alyssa and Trevor; grandchildren, Keely and Grace Remarke and Kaprie and Shelbriana Loberg; brother, Doug Julie Loberg; and sister, Dana Robin Bergen. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Cindy and brother, Curt.
A Celebration of Daniel’s Life will be held on July 15, 2017 beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the Loberg farm, 28159 County Hwy. 9, Lake Park, MN.
