Daniel R. Anderson

Daniel “Dan” Anderson, age 75, of Moorhead, passed away on Monday, August 6^th, 2018 at Eventide Nursing Home.

Dan was born October 30^th, 1942, in Ada, MN, to Albert and Florence (Bowersfield) Anderson. He grew up and attended school in Ada and Lockhart before moving to Moorhead after the passing of his mother. He married Terry Kilsdonk on May 19^th, 1962 in Moorhead. He worked for ASP Construction for 10 years before starting a partnership in 1974. He worked as a contractor and managed D & D Construction for many years until his retirement.

Dan had a passion for cars and racing. He enjoyed spending hours tinkering and fixing old cars and motorcycles. He attended the Daytona 500 and had ownership of the Buffalo River Race Park for 10 years. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything “good enough”.

Dan is survived by his wife of 56 years, Terry; son, Brock (Nancy Holweger) Anderson; three grandchildren, Kaylen Bahls, Eric Bahls, and Chance Anderson; brother, Eugene “Wimpy” Anderson; and sister, Allison Ford.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Danell Anderson-Bahls; three brothers; and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11^th, at 11:00 AM, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
