Darlene “Dilly” J. Braseth

Darlene Braseth, 77, of Lake Park, MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning, January 24, 2016 in the presence of her loving husband Marlin, at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, MN.
Darlene Joan Johnson Braseth was born on May 25, 1938 to Carl Johnson and Hildred Dokken Johnson in Lake Park, MN, where she grew up and graduated from High School in 1956. She moved to Minneapolis, MN after graduating from high school and worked at Bell Telephone Company. She married Marlin Jayson Braseth in Minneapolis on September 20, 1957 and they moved back to Lake Park to start their family.
Dilly, as she was known by her friends and family, was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Dilly and Marlin were well known as a loving couple. After Marlin retired, they were rarely, if ever seen apart. She always welcomed people into the Braseth home.
Darlene is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Hildred, brother Ronald, and sister-in-law Nancy Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Marlin. Children Michael, Marty, Glenn, Nathan Kathy, Nancee Michael Nauertz and Janell Braseth Jud Komrosky; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, brother James Johnson and sister Sandra DaveHeltemes.
Dilly’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Sunnyside Care Center for the exceptional love and care they gave to her for the last 6 months.

Funeral: Thursday, January 28, 2016, 11:00 a.m., Hawley Alliance Church, Hawley, MN.

Interment: Park Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Lake Park, MN.
