Darlene F. Gronbeck

Darlene F. Gronbeck, 84, passed away on September 14, 2019 at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.

Darlene was born on January 9, 1935 to William and Della (Buss) Hoy.  Darlene attended country school near Lisbon, ND.  She was united in marriage to Arnold Gronbeck on March 28, 1954.

Darlene provided daycare out of their home.  She was employed by Kings Food Host, then worked for Ben Franklin Variety store for over thirty years.  Her last employment was for Moorhead Public Schools Food Service.

Darlene is survived by her children, Coleen (Don) Tietz of Callaway, MN, Cindy (Pat) Hilber of Fargo, ND, Randi (Conrad) Bernard of Moorhead, MN, and daughter-in-law, Pam Gronbeck of Moorhead, MN; four grandchildren, Amy (Jason) Coley, Guy (Anna) Tietz, Dr. Kyle (Samantha) Gronbeck and Daylene Bernard; three great-grandchildren, Emma and Averi Coley and Gabriel Gronbeck; sister, Bridgette (Richard) Cossette; brother, Monte (Peggy) Hoy; two special girls, Lynn Stokka and Shelly Kemmer and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold; son, Richard and siblings, Gary, Cordell and Loyal.

The family would like to thank Pastor Streed and all the wonderful staff at Eventide on 8^th for their exceptional care.  Also, they would like to thank her wonderful friends at the Senior Living Center for being so good to Mom.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 from 4:30-6:30 with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Eventide on 8^th chapel.

Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Moorhead, MN, at a later date.
