Darrel K. Grande

Darrel K. Grande, 76, of Moorhead, MN, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, under the care of family and Hospice of the Red Valley. Darrel was born in Fargo, ND, on October 20, 1942, to Everett and Eva (Burud) Grande. He grew up and attended school in Ulen, MN, until moving to Moorhead when he was in 9^th grade. Following high school, Darrel enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After returning from his service, he married Lenore Mattson in 1967 in Hitterdal, MN. Together they made their home in Moorhead and Darrel finished his education at Moorhead State University. Over the years, he worked as a Public Accountant and later at Clay County as the Veterans Service Officer and was involved with Emergency Management until retiring. Darrel enjoyed spending time outdoors, golfing and fishing. He and Lenore also enjoyed traveling the country, but most of all he loved his time with family. He will be greatly missed.

Darrel is survived by his wife, Lenore; sons, Scott (Gretchen) Grande of Lake Park, MN, Robbie (Jacinda) Grande of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Rachel, Caroline, Trevin and Trissa Grande; and nieces and nephew, Karen, Paul and Amy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerald; sister-in-law, Genevieve; and niece, Jeri-Lyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be given to the Honor Flight.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 19, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
