Darrell G. Batterberry

Darrell G. Batterberry, died on Friday, July 15, 2005, at home under Hospice care.Darrell Batterberry was born on September 23, 1935, in Tuttle, ND, to John and Pearl Felch Batterberry. He grew up in Tuttle and attended school there, graduating from Tuttle High School in 1953.Darrell joined the US Navy in 1954, and was honorably discharged in 1962. He then attended Bismarck Junior College for two years before transferring to Moorhead State University. Darrell married Maureen Collins on August 19, 1962, and they made their home in Moorhead. Beginning in 1962, and continuing until 2001, Darrell worked for various trucking companies traveling the US and Canada.Darrell enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and followed many teams. Darrell was a member of the American Legion Club.Darrell is survived by his wife, Maureen; two daughters, Lorrie Michael Redlin, Moorhead, MN, and Shanna Batterberry, Moorhead, MN; three grandchildren, Brandon Batterberry, Jacob Redlin, and Kegan Batterberry, Moorhead, MN; two brothers, Norman Fern Batterberry, Garrison, ND, and DeWitt Marlene Batterberry, West Fargo, ND; one brother-in-law, Richard Lila Collins, Moorhead, MN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents.
