David A. Anderson

David A. Anderson, 77, Barnesville, MN, died Monday, November 13, 2017, Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. David was born at home on the family farm on July 15, 1940, to Albert and Florence (Bowersfield) Anderson. He grew up and attended school in Lockhart, MN, and Ada High School. On May 28, 1963, David married Marlene Bierlich. Together they made their home in Moorhead and later Barnesville.  David worked as a carpet layer and then went into the auto body business.  He operated Anderson Auto Body in Moorhead before moving his business to Barnesville.  Over the years, David enjoyed working on Street Rods and was a member of several clubs. When he retired, he also enjoyed woodworking, ice fishing and visiting with his many friends.  He will be greatly missed.

David is survived by his wife, Marlene; daughter, Michelle (Robert) Edenborg; son, Shawn; grandson, David (Staci) Schutz; great-grandchildren, Gage, Carter and Mady; brothers, Eugene; Daniel (Terry); sisters, Evonne Freimoeller, Allison Ford; sister-in-law, Sylvia; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Verniel and LaVerne Hagen; sister-in-law Bonnie Anderson; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Gladine Anderson; brother, Kenneth Anderson, and brother-in-law Otto Freimoeller.

Memorial gathering will be Saturday, November 18, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
