David A. Branden

David Allen Branden was born December 15, 1953 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Betty and Dallas Branden.  He died December 16, 2019 in Essentia Hospital, Fargo, ND.

David moved to Baumholder, Germany, in 1957 with his family while his father was in the army.  They moved back to the states in 1963.  He graduated from Hawley High School in 1972 and later attended Detroit Lakes Tech for two years.

David Married Deborah Bjorndahl on February 25, 1978 at Dilworth Lutheran Church in Dilworth, MN, and to this union four children were born, Michael, twins, Jeremy and Jay and Amberly.

David worked at Dahlgren’s in Fargo, ND, for 35 years and later at DGF High School for three years.

David will be remembered as a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.  He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, camping and at Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion.  He also loved cars and attending car shows.

David is survived by his wife, Deborah, Dilworth, MN; mother, Betty Branden, Hawley, MN; sons, Michael, Dilworth, MN, Jeremy (Tressie) Moorhead, MN, and daughter, Amberly, Eden Prairie, MN; brothers, Lydell (Dianna), Walcott, ND, Randy (Marj), Grandin, ND, and Gary, Hawley, MN; sisters, Pam Passanante, Hawley, MN, and Candace Naanes, Dilworth, MN; granddaughters Macyn and Khloe Branden, Moorhead, MN; many nieces and nephews and mother-in-law, Elsie Bjorndahl, Dilworth, MN.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas; son, Jay; father-in-law, Neil Bjorndahl and brother-in-law John Passanante.

Honorary Pallbearers will be David’s brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 2:00 pm with a visitation starting at 1:00 pm at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
