David A. Paulson

David Paulson, 62, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. David was born October 5, 1956, to Charles and Beverly (Solien) Paulson. He grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School. He owned and operated F-M Masonry with his father. He lived a full life, he was a son, father, brother, grandfather, hockey coach, mason, and Sunday School Teacher. Dave battled depression and addiction.  Through this battle he learned that each imperfectly perfect person should be valued equally.  No one is perfect, no two people are the same.  By sharing your battles and your victories with others you become more grateful for your victories and realize how connected we all truly are.  This is the lesson Dave would want us to learn. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching sports, being at the lake, and most importantly spending time with family, friends, and who is left to share life with. He was a good friend, and Dad.

David is survived by his children, Erik (Jami) Paulson of Minnetonka, MN, and Kirsten (Kyle) McDermott of Champlin, MN; grandchildren, Adeline and Naomi Paulson, Easton and Colton McDermott; brother, Gary Paulson of Moorhead, MN; sister, Debra Buth of Bloomington, MN; nieces and nephews, Alicia Joachim-Buth and Jenna Cross-Buth, and Nicholas and Daniel Paulson.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Beverly; and his dog, Kato.

Visitation will be Friday, September 20, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 10:30 a.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
