David G. Larson

David George Larson 77 Lake Park, MN, passed away on September 1, 2017, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.

David was born on May 22, 1940, in Lake Park, MN, and was the only child of George and Thelma Anderson Larson.

He resided in the Lake Park area most of his life with a few young years in California.

David graduated from Lake Park High School, Lake Park, MN, in 1958. He joined the Army National Guard in Fargo, ND. He attended college at Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN.

Farming was his love and his hobby. He spent the remainder of his life doing just that! He was known for his honesty and always had a grin on his face. In his younger years, he enjoyed dancing.

David was baptized and confirmed at Eksjo Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN. He served in various positions in the church and was a member of the choir most of his life. David was also instrumental in the restoration of the beautiful stained-glass windows at the church and many other church projects.

David is survived by one aunt, Lila Anderson of Lake Park, first cousins, Lowell Anderson of Lake Park, Roland James of Lakeway, TX, Lois Costello of Phoenix, AZ, and several second cousins.

David was preceded in death by this parents, George and Thelma Anderson Larson and various aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held Friday September 8, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday September 9, 2017, at Eksjo Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN, officiated by Pastor Roy Noel.
