David L. Fortier, 61, Fargo, ND, died on Friday, August 2, 2013, in his home in Fargo.
David was born on January 24, 1952, in Fargo, ND, to Lawrence and Gloria Adamy Fortier. He grew up and attended school in Fargo at Holy Spirit, Shanley and graduated from Fargo North High School. Dave drove over the road truck for many years and then worked at Larry’s Auto Body. He was known for his big heart.
David is survived by his mother, Gloria Fortier, Fargo; brother, Terry Fortier, Fargo; nieces and nephews Cade, Carmen Marcus Hanson, and Bill Rachelle Fortier; great-nieces and nephews, Leo Hanson and Alice Hanson. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Fortier, in 1996.
Visitation: Monday, August 5, 2013, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at 11:00 A.M., in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fargo, ND.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
