David M. Zielinski

The family of David Michael Zielinski 72 of Moorhead regrets to announce the sudden passing of this beloved husband, father and grandpa.Dave was born October 14, 1935 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Alberta Harmon and John Joseph Zielinski. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a Master's in Music in 1959. He and his wife, Carol, were united in marriage on April 4, 1964 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and resided there until they moved to Jackson, Michigan. They most recently made their home at their "Shangri-La" on Lake Lida, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota and Moorhead, Minnesota.His joy came from spending time with family, creating music, water color painting, golfing, fishing, bird watching, and aviation. He is survived by; wife Carol, sons Stephen ZiQi of Singapore, and Marc Billi of Washington, D.C, grandson Aurek, and Lorraine Corridon cousin, who was always his big sister. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for remembrances, gifts and memorials to be dedicated to Moorhead Trinity Lutheran Brass, Pelican Rapids Trinity Lutheran Music, and the F-M Symphony Bass Memorial Chair.
