David Michael Jenson

David Jenson, 75, of Felton, MN, died September 25, 2022 in his home.

David Michael Jenson was born June 3, 1947, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Henry and Helen (Riebe) Jenson. He attended school in Dilworth, MN.  From a young age, David was eager to learn everything he could about cars and motors and over the years he put his skills to work for various employers in the Fargo-Moorhead area as an auto mechanic.  In 1997 he moved to Mora, MN, where he worked as an auto mechanic for Gunderson Motors.  While there he met his special friend, Betty Kettler, and they spent the next 25 years together.  David retired at the age of 62 and moved to Felton, MN.  Throughout his life, he maintained his love for working on cars and was proud of his ability to fix anything that wasn’t currently running.

David is survived by his son, Michael Jenson, Moorhead, MN; step-sons, Donovan Bellanger, White Earth, MN and Rolland Bellanger, Waubun, MN; brother, Roger Jenson; sisters, Lois Merkle, Barb Jenson, and Becky (Kevin) Jacoby; special friend, Betty Kettler and 7 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Linda; brother, Terry Jenson, and grandchild, Tony.

Family and friends will celebrate David’s life on Saturday, October 1, 2022 beginning at 2:00 at his home: 320 4 1/2 St. Felton, MN 56536.
