David Ross Lee

David Ross Lee, 62, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND.

David was born on February 24, 1959, to Irvin and Alvina (Hanson) Lee in Ada, MN. He graduated from High School in Ada and attended Technical School in Wahpeton, MN, for body shop. He returned to Ada and began working as a grain farmer for Richard Ista for several years. He was united in marriage to Joan Matthys on December 19, 1980, in Moorhead, MN. After their marriage, David began his career in over the road trucking, first, with Valley Express trucking, before David and Joan started their own trucking company, J.D. Lee Trucking. After they closed the company, he continued his career with Kenneth Aldrich Trucking and Compass Trucking where he worked until his passing.

David enjoyed hunting, and he was a caring person who loved spending time with his grandkids.

David is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children, Scott (Alice) Lee and April (Gary Jr.) Doan; grandchildren, Daniel, Kyle, Brenda, Xander, Emily, Oliver, and Connor; and sister, Barb (Randy) Butts. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Alvina, and brother, Bruce Lee.
