Delilah “Dee” Doeden

Delilah “Dee” Doeden, 76, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at home under the care of family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Dee was born February 7, 1937, to John and Iola Kelly Lorentz in Moorhead, MN, where she grew up and attended school. On June 27, 1958, she married Fred Doeden. Together they lived in Moorhead for a year before making their home in Dilworth and raising a family. She later enjoyed working as a Para with handicapped students at the school in Dilworth and retired in 1999 after twenty years. Dee was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She also enjoyed socializing at their lake home, playing dice and cards, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Dee is survived by her husband of 55 years, Fred; children, Greg Vickie Doeden of Moorhead, MN, Wanda Ed Oslica of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren, Amanda Mark Fleming, Karley Krieger, Taylor Doeden, Zac Oslica, Morgan Oslica; daughter-in-law, Teri Perry Krieger; sister, JoAnn Boit; and sister-in-law, Eldora Lorentz.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne; parents, John and Iola; and siblings, Doris Hamilton, Irving Lorentz, Lyle Lorentz and Donna Markey.

Memorial Service: Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.
Memorial Gathering: One hour prior to the service in the church.
Inurnment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
