Delores “Deedie” Ellwanger

Delores “Deedie” Ellwanger, 92, of Moorhead, MN, died Monday, November 4, 2019, at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, ND.

Delores Elizabeth Walser was born February 24, 1927, in Akron, OH, to John and Eva (Custer) Walser.  On September 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to Goodwin “Goody” Ellwanger in Denver, CO.  They made their home and raised their 3 children in Moorhead.  Goody passed away on November 3, 1984.

Over the years Deedie spent many hours volunteering at Prairie St. John’s, the Hjemkomst Center and Dakota Clinic. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her children; Mark (Kathy) Ellwanger, Moorhead and Tomball, TX, Dennis (Diane) Ellwanger, Moorhead, and Barbara (Ed) Kase, Boulder, CO; brother, Howard Walser, Montrose, CO; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 4 siblings.
