Delores “Dolly” Morse

Delores “Dolly” Morse, age 87, of Hayward, WI, formerly of Moorhead, passed away on Wednesday, August 15^th, 2018 at Hayward Heath Services, Hayward, WI.

Delores Annette Morse was born on June 14^th, 1931 to Edward and Ann (Pojar) Christopherson in Benson, MN. She graduated from Alexandria High School and then went on to further her education at Moorhead State University-Moorhead. She married Norman “Butch” Morse on February 14, 1947 in Moorhead, MN and they had two children, Geraldine and Gary. Dolly ran a cleaning business called “Tidy Up” for 26 years before becoming a para profession at the Red River Learning Center in Moorhead.

Dolly had a compassionate heart and her true passion was helping others better themselves. She volunteered with 12 step programs and Al-Anon for over 26 years. She delivered her message as she spoke around the country and touched many lives. Dolly spent her free time painting and enjoying the company of friends and family.

Dolly is survived by her daughter, Geri (James) Adair of Hayward, WI; son, Gary (Marsha) Morse of Hawley; step daughters Nancy Persons of Fargo, ND and Kathy Lamphere of New Mexico, grandchildren James, Michael, Shanna, Troy, and Trent; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Dolly is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Norman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 25^th, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
