Dennis O’Connor

Dennis O’Connor, 62, Fargo, died Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Elim Care Center in Fargo.

Dennis Robert O’Connor was born December 11, 1952 in Graceville, MN to Wayne and Arlys Zimmerman O’Connor. He graduated from Graceville High School in 1970 and went on to attend Willmar Business School for 2 years. He then moved to Fargo and worked at various jobs including Dahlgrens Seed, Tecton Products and Doyle Cab Company.

Dennis was an avid reader. He also enjoyed golfing, watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. Dennis was not one to care much about having the “finer things” in life. He made the best of what he had and was content with that. He will be remembered as a kind, easy-going, mild-mannered man.

He is survived by his siblings, Maureen Roger Schwagel, Beardsley, MN, Mark Susanne O’Connor, Fulda, Germany, Kathy Dana Dane, Gaithersburg, MD, Connie Al Jensen, New Prague, MN, Carol Howard Beyer, Minneapolis, MN, Patti Kelly Stotesbery, Big Stone City, SD, and Steve Jane O’Connor, Moorhead; nieces and nephews, Angie Patrick Hirt, Tim Heather Schwagel, Christopher O’Connor, Will and Grace Dane, Andy Rachel, Kyle, Scott and Katie Jenson, Nick Erin, Taylor and Shannon Stotesbery, Billy and Patrick O’Connor, and great-niece and great-nephew, Jason and Mackenzie.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William O’Connor.
