Diana Marie Entze, 71, Dilworth, passed away on May 13, 2021 at her home.
Diana Marie Oster was born on January 30, 1950 to Paul and Hattie Oster. She was raised on the family farm as the middle sister of five children. As a child, she took it upon herself to take care of her sister Geri, making sure she had everything she needed. This was the start of a lifelong passion for taking care of others. She graduated from Gladstone High School on May 24,1968. After graduation, she moved to Dickinson, ND and began working at the Dickinson Nursing Center. In 1971, she met the love of her life, Delmer Entze. They were married on June 10, 1972 and lived in Dickinson. She gave birth to their only child, Kerrie, on January 17, 1973. Diana continued to work at the nursing home until 1984.
In 1984, Delmer and Diana relocated to Lake Park, MN, where Diana started working for Sunnyside Nursing Home in Lake Park, and also at Emmanuel Nursing home in Detroit Lakes, MN. Diana worked two jobs tirelessly for many years, as her testament to caring for those who needed it most. In 2000, they moved to Dilworth, MN, and she took a job with Elim Care Center that year and worked until her retirement in 2019.
Diana is survived by her husband, Delmer, of Dilworth; daughter, Kerrie (Chuck) Speer of Long Prairie, MN; three grandchildren, Dana (Austin) Eis, of Newton, IA, Jacob Speer of Long Prairie, and Mary K. Speer, of Long Prairie; two sisters, Geraldine (Dave) Taylor, of Bismarck, ND and Joyce (Curtis) Volesky, of Brighton, CO; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; and a soon-to-be-born great grandchild. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Hattie Oster; two sisters, Patricia “Pat” Mackey and Rosie Weiler.
Diana has always been a sweet, kind, and compassionate individual. We believe that this is why she chose a career of helping those in need. In this spirit, the family has chosen to be an organ donor, Diana will continue to serve and help, even in her passing.
