Diane Marie Lee

Diane Marie Lee, 58, formerly of Detroit Lakes, MN, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, in California.

Diane was born on December 5, 1960, to Gerald and Bonnie (Thompson) Lee in Moorhead, MN. Diane attended schools in Moorhead, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Hawley, MN. She moved to California where she lived for 15 years. She then moved to Hawaii, living there for 12 years before returning to California. She moved to Detroit Lakes in 2007, where she worked at the Swift Turkey Plant until her retirement in 2012. She lived the remainder of her life in Detroit Lakes.

Diane was always happy go lucky and loved making others smile. She enjoyed country western music, attending rodeos, and she loved travelling. She was in the process of writing a book and loved to wear fedoras.

Diane is survived by her children, Shenna Lee and Mason Gadd; 1 grandchild; mother, Bonnie Holm; brothers, David and Daniel Lee; and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Gerald; step-father, Elmo Holm; and four uncles.

Visitation will be from 10:00A.M. to 11:00 A.M., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN. Burial will be at Hegland Lutheran Church Cemetery in the spring of 2020.
